This and That

tedcruzOkay, I know I claim to be a conspiracy theorist when it comes to aliens and 9-11… I am… totally loony and tinfoil-hat-wearing… can’t let those men in black read my mind, right?   But those crazy ideas are based on facts that I have uncovered and investigations into the obvious and admitted manipulations of those facts that have come out over time… from credible whistle-blowers and witnesses.  What is going on in Texas right now is not that, and not my fault.  I don’t adhere to any Alex-Jones-2nd-Amendment-FEMA-death-camps sort of conspiracy theories.  President Obama is NOT planning an attack on Texas with these routine military exercises involving Green Berets and Navy Seals.  The crap thinking that motivated Governor Greg Abbott to activate the Texas National Guard to oversee the military exercises is stupid-headed paranoid Republican propaganda.  I am trying to make humor here out of scary Texas political poop, but this is too wacko to even joke about.

20150501_195234To totally change the topic and talk about something else, I may have inadvertently changed one of my collections that feed my hoarding disorder mental illness…  I was very poetically snapping pictures of the sunrise when I walked the dog every morning and calling that “collecting sunrises”.  But I started taking other dog-walking photos, like cloud shots and moon shots and sunset shots.   Uh-oh!   More time lost to collecting things pointlessly… or is that how art happens?  the artist finding certain observations to be spiritually and creatively fulfilling… and tries to share that fulfillment?  Or when you consider the Avengers Coke cans… is it clinically a concern?

Okay, let’s switch again…   Friday night my daughter, the Princess, was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  This happened at her middle school, Dan F. Long, home of the Falcons.

20150501_185544

They had this wonderful candle-lighting ceremony filled with wonderful things.  I experienced several of what Ralph Waldo Emerson calls “spots of time” in which there is a transcendent moment that carries you far beyond the daily dose of mundane.  The first one was when the Falcon orchestra, complete with cellos and violins, was playing a waltz.  The principal was in the hallway with his young daughter to greet the parents and friends attending the ceremony.  The two of them, the extremely competent and hard-nosed black principal and his pretty little black daughter began to waltz together, not even thinking that some of us seated in the cafetorium might see them do it.  I couldn’t help but think, “while Baltimore burns…  if only we had more of this!”  And more wonderful things followed.  The NJHS faculty sponsor was a teacher I subbed for a decade ago.  She is a determined and bubbly little woman who impressed me once upon a time with her detailed planning and sharp methods.  This little woman could throw big bad trouble-making boys around the room (metaphorically of course) to get her point across and make lessons happen.  I saw her in action.  She was tough and ambitious in spite of being small and always smiling.  And the Princess was inducted with a candle ceremony (a potential disaster waiting to happen in a middle school setting) in which she was in the middle of three rows on the stairs… and no one set anyone else’s hair on fire.  And we’re talking seventh-grade nerd-boys standing with a lighted candle behind seventh-grade girls with long hair!

And finally I wanted to share with you the progress I have made on cardboard castles.  I have made all of this so far with my own two arthritic claws using Ritz Cracker boxes, Honey Nut Cheerios boxes, tape, scissors, and glue.  I have only glued fingers together once and managed not to accidentally cut off any necessary part of my body (fingernails don’t actually count, do they?).  Why am I doing nutty stuff like this?  Well, I’m retired.  What am I supposed to do?  Sensible real-world stuff?  Get real.

Finding the Truth

Ted Cruz articlelaOu4vk

I am an intelligent human being and I understand a lot about science and how to do research.  Unfortunately, I am also now retired with time to burn when I can’t make much use of any physical activity other than surfing the web and finding out things I have always been wondering about.  I say unfortunately because I really dislike most of what I have discovered and found corroborating evidence for.  I have become, for lack of a less loaded-with-excess-baggage sort of term, a conspiracy theorist.    Aliens did crash near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, and the American government did recover the craft and alien crew.  JFK was murdered by a hit squad working for and with the CIA, and George H.W. Bush, whose father was a Nazi supporting Adolf Hitler during World War II, was most likely the event controller on scene that day, although he claims he wasn’t in Dallas that day or wasn’t even a CIA operative at the time, despite photos and a letter from J. Edgar Hoover that disprove both of those claims.   And most disturbing of all, the attack on the U.S. on 9-11 was a fake terrorist attack perpetrated by the elements of the American Government that Eisenhower warned us about, calling them the “military-industrial complex”.    Three buildings fell down in a manner that suspiciously looks like a controlled demolition done by professional demolition experts, and only two of those buildings were struck by airplanes.  The sheer weight of evidence generated by the cover-up alone guarantees that we are looking at an event papered over with falsehoods that we are expected to accept and not question.  Is it a coincidence that George W. Bush was president and his brother Marvin Bush was in charge of a company that did security for the World Trade Center complex?   Architects, airline pilots and plane manufacturers, and law enforcement personnel have all ruined their careers (and some even lost their lives) by expressing publicly their doubts over the government’s version of events.

Here is a Youtube video you might want to check out if this is totally new to you;

9-11 WTC -0151 04

So what does this mean for pointless little people like me?

We are increasingly being treated as farm animals.  Rich people have taken over control of our government and society so that profit-takers can continue to do whatever it takes to continue reaping all the rewards while we do all the work.  Keep in mind that pigs and calves are kept in pens where their movements are completely constricted, not even able to turn around and face the other direction, all so their muscles are never exercised, and their meat remains as tender as possible.  We have no say in what happens to us.  We are merely here to do the work, and be as productive (and possibly tasty) as possible for the least amount of compensation possible.

Ted Cruz as Grandpa Munster is such an apt image for this problem.  He is a laughable clown throwing Texas cow poop all over the American government.   But he is also an un-dead blood-sucker with no human soul (at least that he hasn’t already sold to someone).   Will he be the next president of the United States?  I sincerely hope not.  He is totally owned by the powers in the darkness (dark money providers like the Koch Brothers who are so dark that the Koch Brothers are probably only the outward face of the problem and someone else is behind the scenes).  But it appears to me that he is only the joke candidate that is there only to guarantee that we are forced to choose either Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton, both of whom accept and represent financial interests and bankers who melted down the economy in 2008.

The scariest thing on the web, I think, is the message in the Georgia Guide Stones.  Who put them there?  What do they mean?  Here is what Wikipedia says are the inscriptions on the stones;

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: EnglishSpanishSwahiliHindiHebrewArabic,Chinese, and Russian.

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

How are we supposed to get the world population from 7 billion down to 500 million?  We are not going to murder everyone not a U.S. citizen, are we?  Or everyone with a economic worth below a million dollars?  I would like for some of these guidelines to come into play.  4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 are all very good ideas.  1, 2, 3, and 10 all chill me down to the marrow in my bones.  I am not cancer.  And now might not be a good time to be a farm animal… particularly not Daffy Duck.

So make of it what you will.  I believe these things are at least partially true.  Am I a loon?  Yes.  But don’t let that keep you from looking into these things yourself.

Wearing the Tinfoil Hat

I get laughed at when I talk about some of the conspiracies that engage and utterly horrify me.  Yes, I believe there was a conspiracy involved in the events of 9-11.  Even if you accept the government’s version of what happened, you accept a conspiracy too.  So, what is more realistic to believe in?  Did 19 Muslim terrorists with some training in Afghanistan really take over four airliners with box cutters?  Entering the cockpits where they would be opposed by at least equal numbers of people (if they were not actually outnumbered), take over with 100 % success, not allowing any pilots to reach down a few inches and set off a hijack alert system?  Then fly the planes, making them do aerial maneuvers that would’ve torn the aircraft to pieces at speeds beyond the capability of the aircraft at the altitudes they were executed at?  With pilot skills so inferior that their American instructors laughed about it?  And then making the buildings fall down due to fire even though no high-rise concrete and steel skyscraper had ever fallen down due to fire before?  Even making WTC-7 fall down though it never got hit by a hijacked airplane?  And all three skyscrapers fell straight down into their own footprint, suspiciously like a controlled demolition?

Or could it be that Neo-conservatives like Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld felt that they needed a “New Pearl Harbor” in order to make profitable warfare in Iraq (With untapped oil reserves) and Afghanistan (with mineral wealth like Lithium for batteries)?  Does it maybe matter that Larry Silverstien, who not only bought the World Trade Center complex shortly before the events with leveraged debt and faced a billion dollar project to remove the asbestos problem from the buildings, but took out an insurance policy that covered acts of terrorism on the buildings and scored a doubling of billions of dollars because the two planes represented two acts of terrorism?  Does it matter that L. Paul Bremer didn’t show up in his World Trade Center office that day as some of his chief operations people were meeting about possible financial problems of embezzlement or fraud and were almost all killed while the evidence they were presenting was destroyed?  And this is the same Paul Bremer who would become the occupational governor of Iraq, managing the corporate exploitation of Iraq by companies like Halliburton?

It bothers me that there was no real investigation of the entire attack.  The steel from the destroyed buildings was quickly disposed of, sent overseas to be quickly recycled rather than forensically examined.  It bothers me that a retired Chemistry professor from Denmark, Niels Harrit, found incontestable evidence of nano-thermite  in dust from the WTC disaster.  It bothers me that a physicist like Steven Jones could give up his teaching job at BYU to found a group like Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice because he was so certain that the government explanation of events was a deliberate lie.  It also bothers me that groups of reputable people form organizations like Pilots for 9-11 Truth and Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth and the 9-11 Family Steering Committee have so many legitimate questions that the government and mass media refuse to answer.  I may be obsessing about a conspiracy theory, but there is a conspiracy to obsess about, questions to be answered, and people who need to answer for what was actually done.

The Truth About the Bard – Part One

Image

I came to believe that William Shakespeare was a made-up character pretty much by the same means as the world first noticed the inconsistencies.    In 1848, a young religious scholar named Samuel Mosheim Schmucker, put forward a parody of arguments against the physical existence of a historical Jesus Christ.  The fact that no written works by Jesus own hand had ever been seen or discussed in historical documents was used to claim that Jesus was very possibly a made up character created by the Apostles Paul, Peter, and John.  No physical evidence of his existence remained that wasn’t tainted by the fervor for relics, even fabricated ones, that ruled the Middle Ages.  He posited, as a joke, that in the same way Shakespeare hadn’t written his own plays.   After all, here was an unlikely person, an actor who had never been far from the city of his birth who became famous for writing stories from other lands, stories that had the ring of truth, as if the bard had walked the streets of Venice and Verona himself, as if he had spent time in royal courts among courtiers whom he portrayed with unfailing accuracy, and as if he had a deep personal knowledge of literature, including literature that had never been translated into English.  Wait a minnit!  Why does this comic parody sound so logical and profoundly obvious?

I didn’t believe at first.  How could that story I had always heard about the greatest writer who ever lived be anything less than gospel truth?

Yet, inconsistencies were glaring in front of my eyes.  The physically real William Shakespeare was a mere actor, not even a lead actor, a bit player who specialized in old men and jesters.  His father was illiterate.  The man apparently couldn’t even spell his own name correctly.  He had spelt it at least three different ways in places that, with difficulty, could be verified as coming from his own hand.  The likelihood that this little, insignificant man was the worldly author with a wisdom for the ages grew further and further away from the obvious truth.

Even Mark Twain, whom I revere as a role model and one of the greatest writers I have ever read, doubted that Shakespeare wrote plays.  In his essay, “Is Shakespeare Dead?” Twain wrote, “So far as anybody actually knows and can prove, Shakespeare of Stratford on Avon never wrote a play in his life.”

Do I actually believe that someone else wrote Shakespeare’s plays?  I was not willing to even consider it until the right candidate came along.  Francis Bacon?  No.  Christopher Marlowe?  Marlowe would’ve had to write some of the best plays after he was dead.  No way!  So did the right candidate appear?  Most assuredly, thou addle-pated reader.  Hold your breath and wait for the reveal in part two.  Er, maybe you shouldn’t literally hold your breath.

The Truth About the Bard

The Truth About the Bard

I drew this Paffooney back in 1980 after my favorite Shakespeare play, the Tempest. The truth is, by rereading that particular play, the Bard’s last, I have come to the conclusion that the actor known as Will Shakespeare did not write the plays that bear his name. It was in fact, in all likelihood, Edward DeVere, the Earl of Oxford who did. I will write about this further in the future. It is the magic of conspiracy theory that draws me like a sprite to the theatre.
