In fiction, a good background or setting can be home to more than one character. In art, too, you can use the same background in more than one picture.
Okay, so maybe it is really cheating, but cheating can be fun too.

If it’s all your creations I don’t think it’s cheating. Hum.
I really think “cheating” in art is all you can really do. You are not re-creating the thing, you are only using tricks and techniques to fool the eye. I didn’t invent the tricks. I only steal the ideas to put things together in a way that is uniquely my own.
